| Description | On an island at the far end of the Caribbean… A private hideaway where 1500-year-old island traditions blend with 21st century sustainable luxury... A one-of-a-kind eco-luxe resort for the fortunate few.
Surrounded by the turquoise waters of a tranquil, protected bay, rolling green hills, lush tropical foliage and prehistoric volcanic boulders create an exotic landscape exquisitely maintained for a limited collection of private residences. Yet this gentle footprint on the land encompasses a wealth of personal services and luxury amenities in a five-star eco-luxe resort…
Emerald Monkey.
Over many centuries, island communities along the equator in Bali, Sri Lanka and French Polynesia have perfected tropical lifestyles adapted to their environment. Today these same lifestyles are perfectly compatible with the “sustainable luxury” sensitivity now sweeping the enlightened world.
Emerald Monkey, on an island off the Caribbean coast of western Panama which shares the same latitude and environment, has adapted both styles and will soon become one of the world’s first “carbon neutral community” resorts.
Our electricity is provided by the hydropower of a rushing river, golf carts are solar powered and drinking water is from natural mountain springs.
Organically grown fruit and vegetables grace our table. Our swimming pools flow with saltwater from the sea and are chemical-free, just as the native landscape is pesticide-free. Our buildings and furnishings are created from sustainable woods, materials and fabrics, and fifth-generation artisans in Bali handcraft each of our residential villas.
The fully-furnished 1, 2 and 3 bedroom villas range from 246 - 532 square meters and every villa has a private plunge pool, garden terraces and indoor-outdoor living space.
Owners and guests will enjoy sunning on two white sand beaches and diving the reefs of the surrounding lagoons. Full service dining includes both the hilltop gourmet restaurant and the casual waterfront grill.
Emerald Monkey eco-luxe resort is the creation of a visionary development team who believe that careful stewardship of the environment can be compatible with comfort and elegance in a unique concept they call “sustainable luxury”.
Their around-the-equator search of island cultures led them first to Bali and finally to this pristine archipelago on the Caribbean coast of western Panama, where they have found the rare island locale to bring their vision to life. Click here to Translate |
